First Lady Audra M Atkinson
Lady Audra is the wife of Reverend Cornelius N Atkinson, Pastor of Wilson Heights First Church of God. Together, they have three beautiful children, Aubrey (14), Jessica (16), & Jadda (18).
Lady Audra is a native of Greensboro, NC daughter of the late James Mitchell & Deborah Mitchell where she attended Greensboro Public Schools. She graduated high school and came to Charlotte to attend UNCC, where she earned a BS Degree in Economics’. Lady Audra is an employee of Belk Department Stores for over 20 years.
At Belk she has served in many capacities from Manager, Buyer, & Planner. At Wilson Heights, Lady Audra leads the Women’s Ministry where she is always available to the women for prayer, teaching, leading & fellowship. She Leads by example-“If Jesus could serve, then so can I”. Under the Women’s ministry, Daughters of Destiny was formed which is a Ministry for young ladies ages 12 and up which is to teach them how to grow to be Bold Christian Women, teaching them life lessons & Christian values. Lady Audra has completed her commissioning for Ministry under the teaching & leadership of Reverend Atkinson. She is often called upon to preach and teach at women’s conferences and women’s day programs.
God is calling her to reach higher, to lead & to teach on a higher level in ministry. He is leading and guiding her through His word, Prayer, teaching & Life Lessons. Most importantly, Lady Audra models her life from 1 Peter 4:8 “Above all
Love each other deeply, love covers a multitude of sins”.
