Cub Scouts (Pack 81)
Cub Scouting is a program of the Boy Scouts of America. It is family oriented and geared to the first (Tiger Cub), second (Wolf Cub Scout), third (Bear Cub Scout), fourth (Webelos Scout) and fifth (Webelos Scout or Boy Scout) grade boys. Boys in the fifth grade who will be eleven years old by January may choose to join a Boy Scout troop, otherwise they will be in the fifth grade Webelos Scouts program.
Cub Scouting is a home and neighborhood-centered program designed to support and encourage quality family involvement for boys. Each Cub Scouts learns to respect his home, country and other people. Your son will also have opportunities in Cub Scouting for:
- Participating in fun activities and earning badges, while learning new skills through crafts, games, sports and outdoor outings.
- Working and playing in small groups of six to eight boys, which builds teamwork and social skills (bi-weekly meetings)
- Positive role models in the adult volunteer leaders.
- Learning to make ethical decisions.
- Family oriented programs that will help build a stronger, more positive relationship with your son.
Cub Scouting is a family program, led entirely by volunteers. We also need you to consider helping the Cub Scout Pack run smoothly by being a leader, a committee member, or simply being a resource to the pack. Together we can make Cub Scouting a fun and rewarding experience for the boys.
